Consul General Bayani V. Mangibin Calls on the Governor of Guam

CONSUL GENERAL MANGIBIN CALLS ON THE GOVERNOR OF GUAM

Philippine Consul General to Agana, Hon. Bayani V. Mangibin, made his first call on Guam Governor Eddie Baza Calvo on 17 February 2012 at the Ricardo J. Bordallo Government Complex in Adelup, Guam.

During his call, Consul General Mangibin reaffirmed the  existing strong friendship between Guam and the Philippines, which is due in part to the fact that almost a third of the island's population is comprised of Filipinos.  Gov. Calvo, on the other hand, emphasized that the Philippines and Guam share a common history and have similarities in culture.

Consul General Mangibin arrived on Guam and assumed his post on 15 February 2012.
