THE GUAM REEF HOTEL HOLDS INFINITY FUN NIGHT AND
FUND DRIVE FOR TYPHOON SENDONG VICTIMS
The Guam Reef Hotel (GRH), Guam, organized a “Club Infinity Fund Drive & Fun Night Ballroom Dancing” for the benefit of the victims of Typhoon Sendong on Friday, 27 January 2012 at 6:30PM at the Pandanus Ballroom of the said hotel.
Spearheaded by GRH General Manager Eiichi Koyama and GRH Club Infinity and Promotions Manager Chito de Guzman, the event featured a silent auction of several items donated by various sponsors as well as a "50-50" cash raffle.
The Sisters of Mary, a non-profit organization on Guam, also participated in the event by donating US$1.00 to the Typhoon Sendong fund drive for each item (costing US$3.00) it was able to sell during the fun night. The items sold consisted of bracelets and other trinkets created by Sister Soledad Aguilo.
Another important highlight of the event was the turn-over by the Japan Club of Guam headed by its president, Mr. Toyohito Yoneyama, and accompanied by Consul General Yoshiyuki Kimura of the Consulate General of Japan in Hagatña of a check donation amounting to US$1,500.00 for the victims of Typhoon Sendong to Filipino Community of Guam (FCG) President Leah Beth Naholowaa.
GRH employees and sponsors, and GRH Club Infinity members also brought in-kind donations consisting of clothes and food supplies, all of which will be turned over to the FCG for shipment to Cagayan de Oro Philippines.
Post thanked the Guam Reef Hotel, particularly GRH General Manager Koyama, for organizing the said fund drive and all the donors for their generous support to Typhoon Sendong victims.
