Monetary Donations for Victims of Typhoon Sendong Remitted to the Philippines

 

The Philippine Consulate General wishes to thank the following for their generous donations for the victims of Typhoon Sendong in Mindanao:

The total monetary donations received and collected by the Consulate General from 19 to 26 December 2011 was US$4,155.00.  Out of this total, check donations amounting to US$1,200.00 and all cash donations received amounting to US$855.00, for a total of US$2,055.00, were remitted to the account of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on 29 December 2011.  Check donations amounting to US$2,100.00 were also deposited on the said date to the account of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

We also would like to express our deepest appreciation to Pinoy Express (Ms. Gladys Solamillos) for waiving the remittance fees for these donations.
