13/06/2011: Wreath-laying Ceremony at the Mabini Shrine, Asan Beach

12 June 2011 – The Philippine Consulate General in Agana, Guam joined the Filipino community on the island during the wreath-laying ceremony held to honor National Hero Apolinario Mabini, as well as the other Filipinos exiled to Guam in the 1900s, as part of the activities for the celebration of the 113th Anniversary of Philippine Independence. Sen. Sam Mabini of the 31st Guam Legislature graced the event, giving brief remarks and presenting the Batangas and Southern Tagalog Association (BASTA) of Guam a certificate of recognition from the Guam Legislature for their continued commitment to maintain the shrines at Asan Beach.
